2008 LARPD Cyclocross Race Series
I have been working with the LARPD on a new course layout for the ‘08 LARPD CX Series. The new course will be located across the street from the rodeo arena in Robertson Community Park at 3200 Robertson Park Road in Livermore. Some of the races will be held on the new course and some will be held in the rodeo arena like last year.
The new course will be about 7 minutes per lap and more of a euro style CX course layout consisting of 60% grass 35% dirt and 1% asphalt. We have a GPS map of the new course layout. If you would like to see the GPS email me.
The A categories will race only 45 min this year instead of 60 min.
The facility has amenities such as restroom facilities and a paved bike wash area. We have new awards, t-shirts and are securing sponsorship goodies!
We will have photos and race results posted on our Flikr account on the LivermoreBMX.com website following each race.
We are also looking for club teams that would like to help they can call or email me.

THE A RACES SHOULD BE 1 HOUR. THAT IS SORT OF WEAK 45 MINUTES. THAT IS "B" RACE TIME NOT "A" RACE. PLEASE CHANGE THIS ASAP.
I DONT WANT TO DRIVE 1 HOUR FROM THE CITY TO RACE 45 MINUTES. THAT IS PLAIN WRONG. THANKS. DAVE
if it is a elite A race, i would like to do a full hour i agree
...and SS races are also typically an hour.
i would like to see the A single speed races go one hour as well
Thanks for your feedback and input.
We have modified the categories, start times and length of time for races for the A's.
Master A's will race at 10:30am for 45 min.
A's, Single Speed A's and Jr A's will race at 11:30am for 60 min.
I had never been down to one of these races but I loved the layout. The grass section was awesome and really spread the field out. Some of the twisty stuff on the back section of the course got a bit hairy, but even that is nice for a change to give people with bike handling skill some advantage.
I'll try and make it down again soon! Only thing I didn't like was the HEAT!
I thought the new course was great too but the heat was nasty. Good job shane and see you Saturday for more dusty fun.
Thanks for having kids races. They are lovin' it
